Kakistocracy Update

1. Bush has thusfar been unable to legislatively repeal the Estate Tax, his solution? Kneecap the IRS so they can't collect it.

2. The Bush Justice Department has already made a habit of having political appointees overrule the DOJ civil rights division. Now they are just driving them all out of the Department ahead of time and replacing them with unfit hacks whose only experience is working for such noted civil rights advocates as Trent Lott and Charles Pickering. Truly, the voters of 2004 — electronic ghosts and real live people — have given us the gift that goes on giving.

I expect any day now the Justice Dept. will come down hard on somebody for dissing one of the Swiftboat Veterans slimeballs. Oh, and for giving Ann Coulter's book a bad review.
